Ok. Who cares if Michael Jackson was in debt for most of his life and was on the brink of bankruptcy when he died? I don’t understand what that has to do with anything. Most regular joes are in debt too. Big whoop-de-doo! Sure Michael had his share of financial issues, but unlike most celebrities, he NEVER once was investigated by the IRS for tax evasion or fraud. He could have very easily cheated on his taxes to try and get more money back, but that would have been dishonest. No matter what, Michael always made sure he paid his taxes EVERY year and that he didn’t cheat on them.
Kudos to Michael!
Why people cared so much about his finances though, I’ll never know. I mean, really, It’s not our business. We don’t make a big deal out of a normal person’s debt, so why make a big deal out of Michael’s? His debt didn’t stop him from having a successful career. He still donated money too, despite having money issues. If the media hadn’t pointed out that Michael was in all this debt, no one would have even known! But we all know that the media needed some kind of dirt on Michael, in order to please the haters out there.

Michael Jackson-2000 Watts
This doesn’t even sound like MJ at parts, but I know that’s his real voice. He’s just signing deeper.

You know…Michael Jackson makes a good point in his song “Why You Wanna Trip On Me.” There’s so many world issues out there (war, poverty, AIDS, gang violence, etc), yet the media would rather report on Michael’s private life instead of those important issues that should be dealt with. They focused so much on him, that these other issues went unnoticed a lot of the time. Yes, he was a celebrity. Yes, he was “different.” But for the media to concern themselves over Michael’s life instead of focusing on world issues, is just plain stupid. The fact that the public cared more about Michael and his eccentricities than the actual problems going on around them, is even more astounding!

Like seriously…

FUN FACT #1849105721

Michael Jackson donated over 350 million dollars to charity when he was alive.

I sang karaoke last night. I hate singing in front of people, but I did it anyways. It helps that it was a Michael song too :D

day 120: what is your zodiac sign and what do you think it means

My zodiac sign is Aries. And if you want to know my Chinese zodiac sign, I’m a snake (lame…). I don’t know what either of them mean. I know Aries is a ram, so maybe it’s supposed to mean that I’m tough or something? Either that or I’m supposed to live in the mountains and be a hermit! The snake is a sly creature, but I’m not like that. I’m nothing like a snake!!

I mean really….I think most people (whether they’re MJ fans or not) should know this one.

I just realized that the song “Threatened” is Michael Jackson speaking to the media and being somewhat sarcastic. He’s going on about how people should be scared and threatened of him, because that’s how the media and most of the public portrayed him. He also sings that people should watch him because he’s such a monster. He can’t be trusted and he’s a danger to everyone. Michael also sings about people talking about him, but it’s in a bad way and it makes him out to be a threat. Then there’s a speaking part by someone that says that Neverland is the place where a monster lives.
The fact that he had to write songs about that is just sad. I know it’s kind of a sarcastic song, but at the same time, it’s not. The song was even written before the trial. So before 2003-2005, people felt threatened and scared of Michael Jackson.

It’s kind of annoying that my external hard drive has to be plugged in if I want to use iTunes. It’s not exactly a small device!!
